Kenningwell United won the Paul Picard Cup in style at Bromley as they cruised to a 5-0 victory over Farnborough Old Boys.
The first half began with Kenningwell dominating the ball and territory with FOBG struggling to get out of their half and restricted to a few free kicks to try and test out the Kenningwell defence. However, Kenningwell took the lead on 15mins mins with an own goal from a corner. FOBG were struggling to get their attacking players into the game or create many goalscoring opportunities but a goal mouth scramble following a corner almost led to an equaliser. But it was Kenningwell who scored the next goal through Hassan Jalloh in the 29th min who finished well after a slick counterattack. The half ended 2-0 to Kenningwell with Farnborough knowing they would need to start the second half well to get back into the game.
In the second half, both teams went on the attack in search of the next crucial goal and in the 58th min, a very quick transition allowed Elias London to score the third for Kenningwell. Ten mins later the game was well and truly over when Ryan Dacres-Smith finished well from the edge of the area making it 4-0. In the last minute of injury time, the icing was well and truly on the cake when Adam Allen scored the fifth goal carrying the ball from just inside the FOBG half and finishing smartly past the keeper. Final whistle with Kenningwell emerging victorious 5-0. Congratulations to them and commiserations to Farnborough Old Boys.
